Sometimes when we feel like we are in a bright sunny day, then you suddenly look up and you're in a black bank of fog and your compass and radar are out. Sometimes our mental fog comes and goes just like that. We desperately seek for something to hold on too. Whether it be hands of our friends, family or anxiety blanket or a good session of meditation. We use anchor as the representation of stability in mental health. Hold tight on the anchor, let the storm and fog pass by. Watch as the Silver lining starts to show up just over the horizon.
In ancient times, the anchor was viewed as a symbol that represented safety.
The anchor was chosen as it holds a ship in place while in a storm or heavy fog, representing strength, security and stability.
